Tulach Árd is a nonprofit pipe band and Celtic arts society founded in the Boston area in 1995. The following mission statement captures the essence of our visions and goals: The Tulach Árd Pipe Band was formed to play Celtic music at the highest level possible. To attain this goal, we are determined to attract, develop and retain top piping and drumming talent through teaching, practice, parades, concerts and competition. The Band seeks to foster mutual respect among its members, to create an environment conducive to learning, to implement policies and practices designed to avoid divisiveness and to provide an enjoyable experience for all associated with it. Since its inception, the Band has continued to grow in both size and stature fielding prize winning players from Australia, Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland and the United States. The Band has consistently received top honors in competition, including 2002 Eastern United States Pipe Band Champions and 2003 North American Drum Corps Champions.
